India has taken another step to enhance its relationship with the neighbouring countries, Indian public sector company under the Defence ministry and India's one of the premier shipbuilding company Garden Reach Ship Building(GRSE) has signed and MoU with the Bangladesh premier Shipbuilding company Kunal shipyard limited(KSY) to assist in design and building of warships required to guard its national waters.
The development comes after Bangladesh acquired two diesel electric submarines from China. KSY which is an independent shipyard operated by the Bangladesh Nay is involved in building warships of Bangladesh.
It could help to bolster the relationships between the two nations amid growing Chinese influence in the SAARC nations against India.
