India though not inlcuded in this talks anyway is one of the biggest benefitter if US Russia relations takesoff in a positive way, it was a great relief when Putin announced it was success meet.
India is one of the closest to both the nuclear gaints especially close with current regimes.
India is most dependent on Russia for its defence needs, almost sixty percent of its equipment are from Russia, the US sanctions has threatened Indian purchase of S400 missile system to be purchased by India, including the FGFA which India has withdrew from had the pressure of the US sanctions.
Indian diplomats are fighting hard to waive of these sanctions with special permission from US senate, India enjoys the special friendly nation in par with the NATO nations, India is emerging as the most favour nation for USA. On the other hand India is closest military alliance in Russia.
Though India has taken precautionary measures over the sanctions on Iran, It cannot do the same regarding Russia since there is no alternative supplier of arms of russian origin and designs. Hence Indian authorities are observing every single development between these two nuclear gaints with much care. On the other hand tanking no chance Indian diplomats are pushing for waivers of US sanction effect of India considered many military sales contract with India and also for the maintenance upkeep of the second largest C17 globemaster fleet operated by Indian Air Force.
Since it is not yet clear how US will move ahead with the sanctions on Russia, to isolate it from China which is a rising threat for the entire Asia Pacific or Indo Pacific theater once US is defeated in the hands of China Russia is the next target for the eastern russia provinces for which they had a small war in the past, Russia is also aware of the consequences though it is totally relied upon China for its economical needs it is in no way to give all it away to China alone, it is also balancing the Chinese rise by developing the Indian military capabilites.
It is Trump who has to take a call on the issue while Russia is open to take on the opportunity to waiver of sanctions against it. And to seal the multi billion S400 contracts with Turkey and India, and sale of FGFA to the world countries. which it is expecting to cost less in mass production,
